The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
